Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
Why should we have hope in Christ? Because he has plans for us for good, to give us a future and a hope for better things, either in this life or the next.
Romans 5:1-5 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
“Only when our greatest love is God, a love that we cannot lose even in death, can we face all things with peace. Grief was not to be eliminated but seasoned and buoyed up with love and hope.” -John Piper
The hope that God has provided for you is not merely a wish. Neither is it dependent on other people, possessions, or circumstances for its validity. Instead, biblical hope is an application of your faith that supplies a confident expectation in God’s fulfillment of His promises. Coupled with faith and love, hope is part of the abiding characteristics in a believer’s life. John C. Broger
Sometimes we don’t even recognize the blessings for what they are, instead just taking things for granted. While the context of where the violinist played, in the subway, certainly is important, I still think the story speaks to how we sometimes don’t even see or appreciate the blessings God has put right in front of our face.
Grace enables us to become the people we were meant to be. Many of us are tired of trying to live up to other people’s expectations. It is a relief to discover that God loves us just as we are. – Rob Rufus
Racism doesn’t make sense to me. I’m not saying that I am perfect; that I never ever judge someone according to their race.
What I am saying is that it doesn’t make sense in the eyes of God.
If you’re like me, you’ve had a whole host of emotions rushing over you these past couple weeks. We’ve read and heard about young men being killed by police officers , police officers being killed by snipers, protesters getting out of control, violence, hatred, division, judging … (screaming) … when will the madness stop? enough is enough! LOVE is the key!
Thank your clergy for the work they do. Give them a shout out using the hashtag #ClergyAppreciationDay and post to your social media accounts. Encourage others to do the same. Being a pastor or other clergy member has its good days, and bad. Yet all leaders need to be recognized for the work and efforts.
Be sure you also personally thank them for all they do to help you and your family!
Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God. – Corrie Ten Boom
Faith has to do with things that are not seen and hope with things that are not at hand. -Thomas Aquinas
Ephesians 1:18

Why We Should Have Hope

When in this life we face trials, tribulations, sickness and pain, God is with us.🤓❤️
Jesus Christ 💯 helps us to renew our strength!

Jesus loved people others rejected-even people who rejected him. This is how God loves. – Gregory A. Boyd
That's so true!

To our Woman of God!
She puts her trust in God with a thankful heart and a fun loving spirit
She has the empowering ability to genuinely say to another woman:
“You are a super bad sistah, if God can use me he can use you too”
She is blessed with the gift of giving and a willingness to help others
She offers comfort to others even though she too is hurting
She learns from her mistakes and acknowledges that she too is not perfect
She speaks with words of wisdom and not malice
From the mouths of destruction, her smile remains unshaken
She lifts her head and continues to walk in the midst of turmoil
She inspires other women to be the best they can be.
With her life experiences, she touches the lives of a multitude
She remains determined to be the best person SHE can be
She smiles every time she says “I LOVE YOU”
She has the courage to take the fall for another
She is not too proud to say “I need you”
When her tears fall, she prays faithfully
When others turn their back on her, she still continues to pray faithfully
She is humble enough to admit when she is wrong
Through betrayal and talk, she remains secure in knowing who she is and who God has called her to be!
She is loving enough to say “I forgive you”
She is at peace with herself without having the need to prove herself to anyone.
She values her self-worth and reminds other women of theirs
She is not pretentious but instead she presents herself just as she is…
“A WOMAN AFTER GOD”S OWE HEART!”
R.G. wow just wow thank you, God bless you!
