Prayer is simply communication between us and our Heavenly Father. The Lord’s Prayer is a great outline for us to use to structure our prayers. Jesus used this outline, according to Luke’s gospel, to teach His disciples to pray.
The Lord’s Prayer begins with a call to honor Him.
Matthew 6:9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in Heaven Hallowed be Your Name.
It’s about to get real in our prayers. We get to the point in the prayer where we ask for forgiveness for our sins. This is also a time where we willingly, and intentionally forgive others.
Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Forgiveness is about goodness, about extending mercy to those who’ve harmed us, even if they don’t “deserve” it. It is not about finding excuses for the offending person’s behavior or pretending it didn’t happen. Neither is there a quick formula you can follow. Forgiveness is a process with many steps that often proceeds in a non-linear fashion.
The world is getting darker and darker. We need God’s mercy and grace to keep us on the narrow path. When we pray, we need to ask Him to keep us from evil.
Matthew 6:13 And do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
The daily grind of life can easily wipe us out physically and emotionally. That is one of the many reasons why we must spend some time talking to God as often as possible. During prayer, we unburden our hearts and are transformed by God’s grace.God gives us strength. Prayer is a powerful weapon.
Paul encourages us to pray without ceasing. Jesus spent whole nights in prayer with His Father. Nehemiah had a two-second warning to pray. Be ready at any time!
Nehemiah 2:2-4 And the king said to me, “Why is your face sad, seeing you are not sick? This is nothing but sadness of the heart.” Then I was very much afraid. I said to the king, “Let the king live forever! Why should not my face be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers’ graves, lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire?” Then the king said to me, “What are you requesting?” So I prayed to the God of heaven.
When is the last time that you spent some time alone with God in your prayer room?
It’s obvious to me when I am giving God the silent treatment. Don’t feel as though if you can’t complete an hour of prayer it’s useless. A second of prayer (Nehemiah) is more valuable than hours of human wisdom.
Make a decision today to spend some time alone with Him. Allow Him to work in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Enter His throne room boldly and take your rightful place as a child of the King.
The Power of prayer and prayer answers is what we need to move forward in our purpose. Through the power of prayer the Holy Ghost leads us and guides us through life.Sometimes, however, you pray and hear nothing. When you don't receive prayer answers, you can become frustrated and disheartened. Then the enemy torments your mind with all sorts of vain imaginations, and you're ready to quit. There are a number of reasons prayer does not get answered.
We stand before you because we must. We stand before You because truths that should be self-evident are not so evident in our country. And so we turn to you to breathe ever more of Your Spirit into us because we find we cannot breathe, the arms of armed forces wrapped around our throats when we call out for justice. We call to you in defiance of a national system that betrays our noble ideals, where tanks and blood fill our streets, where every Black man, woman, and child is twenty times likelier to be killed by police. We shout to the Heavens with one, unified voice: Black. Lives. Matter. All Lives Matter. But Only Black Lives are being taken!
We are called by scripture to pray for the day when we will beat swords into plowshares and study war no more, when the surplus of war led by greed and deception will not spill into our streets, where swords and tanks and rubber bullets and tear gas will be beaten thinner and thinner, the iron of hatred vanishing forever. We pray to you because, as our prophets have taught us: human suffering anywhere concerns men and women everywhere. We call to you, O God, because Your Image was abandoned on rainy concrete for 4 and a half hours. We call to you, O God, because Your Spirit was choked out of a father who called out 11 times’ “I can’t breathe.” We raise our hands to you, knowing that the work is ours to do, black, white, Jewish, Christian, Muslim, young, old, – These are your images, battered By those sworn to protect and serve. We are all responsible for what happens next. And so we pray to You, Source of Life, raise up our eyes to see You in each other’s eyes, to take risks for justice, to bring through our unified prayer today more Love and Compassion into the world. Ignite us to combat the hidden prejudice which causes police to open fire in fear, which transforms a child in a hoodie into a thug, a person into a threat. We pray today not for calm but for righteousness to flow like a mighty river, until peace fills the earth as the waters fill the sea. Comfort the families of all who grieve. Strengthen us to work for a world redeemed. JUST MERCY!
We are grateful for those that You have called into the selfless service of law enforcement. We acknowledge the mess that society would be without them. Our fallen world is prone to lawlessness, chaos and disaster. Thank You for providing the good and faithful men and women to stand against these evils. We know that all police officers are not racist, bigots, undercover kkk, uncle toms, aunt toms, dirty, or egotistical; the same way all black people are not drug dealers, thieves, liars, criminals, cons, car jacking, gang members, carrying a gun, robbing someone, up to no good, in a stolen car, FIT THE PROFILE etc!
Lord, You know the internal and external battles both parties face on a daily basis. Even as our police officersrisk their lives to protect us, dear God, we need you to protect us as well as them also. Lord Jesus we are asking you to police the police!
Be a shield for us and them according to Psalm 3:3. Lift up their countenances and be their comfort in the face of disheartening circumstances. My heart goes out to the officers that are honestly protecting and serving correctly, we also pray for the ones that have issues, may they seek help!
“And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [separate you from profane things, make you pure and wholly consecrated to God]; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound and complete [and found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)” 1 Thessalonians 5:23.
We navigate this earth in our body, which functions by and through our spirit, and we process everything we experience through our soul.
Pray for the nation!

Beautiful!
Guess what? It’s perfectly fine to ask God to help meet your physical needs.
Matthew 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.

Finally, we can finish our prayers with a time of praise, adoration, and thanksgiving to our King. Matthew 6:13c

Max Lucado“The power of prayer is in the One Who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference.”

The power of prayer is undeniable. God, for whatever reason though, expects us to ask Him to meet our needs. His Kingdom and His rules.

WOW! Look at God!
@chayilgloryministr POWERFUL!
The earth realm and the heavenly realm
We are connected because of Christ, via our Spirit to heaven and to the earth:
We are connected to the earth through our body.
We are connected to heaven that is the eternal realm, through our spirit.
We process both realms by the faculty of our soul.
Our Heart thinks, and speaks: our soul then processes that information so we can do it and live it on the earth:
We engage heaven that is the eternal realm through our spirit.
We engage the earth that is the
natural realm through our bodies.
Our soul processes and responds to both realms through discernment.
We are a three fold being: Body – Spirit – Soul:
“And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [separate you from profane things, make you pure and wholly consecrated to God]; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound and complete [and found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)” 1 Thessalonians 5:23.
We navigate this earth in our body, which functions by and through our spirit, and we process everything we experience through our soul.
