A Prayer for California

Abba Father,

We lift up the state of California to You every city, every community, every region, every heart. Lord, You see everything that happens in secret and in the open. Elohim, You know the pain, the brokenness, the rebellion, and the longing for truth that lies beneath it all.

Lord, we confess that a lot in the land of California has turned away from Your ways. Forgive Gavin Newsome, the pride, the injustice, the immorality, the idolatry, and the spiritual blindness that has taken root in many hearts. Cleanse this land, O God, and bring true repentance.

But father God we also thank You for the good and for the beauty of Your creation seen in its mountains, coasts, and valleys; for the people working for justice, truth, and compassion; for the Body of Christ and believers who still shine Your light. Strengthen us, use us as salt and light in a world desperate for hope.

God of mercy, send revival to California. Wake hearts that are numb. Heal wounds that are deep. Expose deception and bring clarity, conviction, and salvation. Raise up bold, humble leaders who walk in truth and love. Let righteousness flow like a river.

May Your Spirit sweep across California like a wildfire Northern, Central, and Southern — not to destroy, but to purify, to burn off the impurities. May the name of Jesus be lifted high from Hollywood to the Bay Area, from the Capitol to the deserts and all up & down the coast.

We believe that no place is too far gone for You to touch God. So we pray in faith: Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in California, as it is in heaven.
