Engaging children with prayer

Updated: May 26, 2020

I cannot emphasize PRAYER enough. The most important thing is teaching the children in the ministry to pray. We must teach them to pray for not only their family, but to pray for their friend's families also. Teach them to pray for them by name, pray for their parents, pray for their siblings, pray for the church.

In turn the ministry team must pray for wisdom as you work with them, pray for their safety, pray for their salvation, and pray that you can engage and motivate them to learn.

It takes work to engage and encourage children as well as motivating them to learn and pray; however, the rewards for taking the time and energy are well worth it. We need for our children to establish a prayer life and a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6
