Walking the path of righteousness

I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice. Proverbs 8:20
The Lord our shepherd leads his sheep into all righteousness. From the time of our new birth as children of God and at each key juncture of our Christ walk through this world – at the dawn of each new day and at every single step throughout our lives – the Lord is there, directing us towards and along a path of righteousness.
The path of righteousness is narrow and is accessed solely through the ‘open gate’ of Jesus Christ himself. Consequently, the righteousness of this path is the Lord’s own righteousness.
Devotional Prayer: Lord God, who are worthy of all our affection, remind us this day that Your will is the goal of our lives. Remind us that as we abide in You and You abide in us, we will produce the fruit of righteousness. Glorify Your name and Your Gospel in us and through us today.
“Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.” – Hosea 10:12
If we are not standing right where He is telling us to stand, right when He is telling us to stand there then we are not in His right standing where His great favor is, but are in fact walking in our own. Seek the Lord in all things that you might come to understand His perfect will and walk therein, where grace, favor, power, and protection abides.
To be in right standing with God, we have to obey God, allow Him to direct where we stand in all things, and when we mess up and get off track we must humble ourselves as David did and allow Him to redirect us. For only then will His great favor fall on you that you be able to avail much for the kingdom of God.
